For a tech guy, I'm not too big on cell phones. Sure, I like to talk on them, but usually all the extras fall on deaf ears -- no pun intended. In fact, I'm more interested in taking the phones apart and trying to put them back together than figuring out how these newfangled MP3 songs can be instantly uploaded onto my handset.

No Verizon Wireless, I didn't take your enV2 apart. It came that way, I swear!

But somewhere between the crappy phone I receive every two years from my cellphone carrier and this nifty device, I've had a change of heart. And honestly, I don't think I scratched the surface of what the enV2 can do.

The Good: Let's get one thing straight -- I hated the enV2's predecessor, the enV. It was bulky but not user friendly. I had a heck of a time just trying to dial my mom to say I needed money. Well mom got a ton of calls since I picked up the enV2.

The external keypad is gigantic compared to the first, although the 1.45-inch screen is a little smaller. No matter though, because if you want to actually use you phone as a phone, it's the perfect upgrade. And despite the larger buttons, it's a half inch smaller than the enV and is thinner than a dime.

The stripped down dialpad does aid navigation to the enV2's most important quality, which is the music function. On the intelligently named "music" button on the external pad, you can access the MP3 songs that are easily downloaded from the device.
